We all had a 2h midnight feast from about 2:30 but managed to drag ourselves out of bed for breakfast before getting the shuttle bus back to the airport. From there we flew to our first proper destination: Yogyakarta. There's plenty to do round here, the cultural heartland of Java, and we will be 6 days in the area. Today we just took it easy. After a quick dip in the pool we went into town to see the main market and city centre. Child hunger made us change plan and we ended up in backpacker central for a not-very-authentic lunch. Did a bit of walking around, but jetlag hadn't been completely banished (not that the kids are great city tourists anyways) so we headed back to the hotel. They both collapsed before 8.
